november 9th, 2007....the final stage begins!!!

car is ready!!
CAR IS FINALLY BEING PAINTED!!! my homie kevin just finished at st paul tech for auto body, and he is the expert on site. together we are gonna make one sick looking paint job.
this is my 1993 audi 90. when i bought it it was all stock except for an air intake. i have owned it for over a year now and have done a whole lot of customizing. right now the car is in a bit of disorder, but its all a process....and i can see the ballin audi in my mind. as soon as i get all the funds this car will turn heads. when i can get shit right, it will be right. right now it cant be right....but it will be.
ATTN: all previous reupholsterd pieces to be done again with black leather, as opposed to the black fabric. the car is in pieces, but will come together nicely.

paint booth....

car all primed sanded, stripped of tape and paper. ready to be re taped and papered and finally actually painted.

car is stripped and being sanded!

hood primed, hood nozzles back. ready to be sanded and painted.

rear bumper primed.

bondo-ed rockers primed, look real good.

GOD I WISH I WAS RICH!!!!!

putting the plastic up to protect the garage from the dust from sanding, and the paint from....well painting.

this is how much i hate bodywork, and you can tell this project is wearing on me....

this is the bumper mounted, but not attached.

sanding the roof, sunroof all taped off.

dent fixed in trunk lid, spoiler mounted. rear bumper and wheels, car sitting on jack stands. had to take off rear wheels to take off rear bumper. rear bumper mounts all rusty, so i fixed those up too.

sanding the doors with the DA.

took awhile to get used to the DA.

rear quarter panel, hand sanded and ready for primer. my dumb amigo wrote poop on the window.....

getting dents out of the fender

my homie and i decided we wanted to get rid of the jack reference diamonds, and the rough texture on the rockers. made them nice and smooth. also took off the trim pieces just below the groove in the door. nicer look, and the trim pieces came off terribly and became warped.

more work...

getting rid of the trim piece hole in the fender. i used some fiberglass to cover the hole, and bondo to smooth it.

had to take out the interior door panels to get off the door handles. gas tank door removed, sunroof, mirrors, weather stripping, tail lights, and side trim.

car minus tail lights....plus spoiler!

the mid pillars are going to be painted the same black to match the two tone.

starting to take the car apart to paint it....

both headlights out, just doin more prep.

the rear end currently, my brother got into a fight at school, so my tail light got punched in because of it. thanks N's!

took out the windsheild was tank because i planned to cover up the nozzles, but ended up being too much work, so i abandon that project and got rid of the fiberglass and bondo.

new RS2 bumper, you can see the nice mesh that came with it. it has no brackets to mount though, so that will take me into some more fabrication. bumper will not be able to go onto the car til i can figure out how to get it on. so another stock one is going to go on the current finished product.

this is the car pretty much stock like when i bought it...except the tint, thats all me. i also threw those black rings on the fender. the rest of the car is badgeless...so the rings look fantastic and totally custom.
more pics to come

this is the car with the rims on...looks real good. the pic is of the good side with the headlight. the windows on the side are illegally tinted to 30%...MN is gay as hell with tint laws.

these are my winter tires for the car, they are real nice audi rims. very hard to find. they acutually really need new tires, but theyll last the winter. audi center cap is missing in the pic.

updated pic, audi center caps are sooo golden!

audi center caps rockin on the front! you can also see my calipers painted black.

rear wheel pic, center cap would fit here, so i painted a piece of the hub black. doesnt look terrible, but i need to figure out how to fit the caps on the rear wheels. when i do, youll see... new performance rotors to come in the rear first, along with lowering springs and performance struts.

resprayed the rear lights, and look at the audi rings within. looks soo sweet!

the back end....kind of a bad pic. i got the exhaust done last summer...kind of over payed for it cause the mechanic would only work from the cat-back...and the cat is the problem. the exhaust doesnt sound as good as it should because the cat rattles like "whoa" and needs to be replaced or removed. But otherwise the exhaust dude removed the double muffler 25 pound stock exhaust. just piping back and the a magnaflow muffler now. little better pick up in the horses. people misunderstand my exhaust now....the cat just needs to go. GOT A NEW PERFORMANCE CAT! (to be installed soon)

the front end, i hit a deer with the front end of my car. totally destroyed the headlight, the hood, the fender, and parts of the front bumper. i had to get a new headlight...it doesnt match up with the car yet, but it will soon. the hood needs to be painted, so does my new fender.

better pic of the back end. i tinted the tailights black. the back window is also tinted to 20%. i also have a stock 90 spoiler that is primed but still waiting to be painted.

this is the front end with the bumper. you can see the audi rings i put in the middle with the mesh. the bumper was an experiment, and the piece of garbage two piece bumper cracked. the outer shell snapped in two pieces, which caused me to just buy a beautiful rs2 bumper.

custom work on the grill...going to put some nice metal mesh in there instead of the plastic.

fiberglass to be bondo-ed to look more smooth.
