My 1997 Toyota Celica ST

tcox22's 1997 Toyota Celica

Here is my car, which was paid for in July of 05. It's a quick little car, but I'd like to make it better than just quick. I've done a few things here and there to update the car, but nothing drastic... as I lack the funds to do so. Hopefully by the end of the summer I'll have a Greddy SP Cat back exhaust, new chrome headers, and a nice little cold air intake. This will help boost up the little horsepower i have to work with now.

Hopefully sometime in the next 2 or so years, I will be able to either swap in a 3SGTE engine or a 4AGE engine with a new tranny, ecu, all that fun junk. I realize this is going to cost a lot of money, but I figure it's worth it. The car has a lot of potential and there aren't too many tricked out 6gc's in this area so i figure i might as well do it and be unique.

As for mods i've done already...

on the agenda for the end of summer...

-TRD spoiler
-Front and rear SS-III splitters

hey, its been awile since you left me a comment...i havent been on here in a LONG time....but....incase you havent gotten the aluminum dash kit yet....i didnt get that. i simply popped all the pieces out and painted them with a few coats of silver paint to match the outside of the car...and then sealed it. It had this nasty wood grain on it before...talk about yuck. this month is the big month....by the end of april it should be pink!! haha :)

sup. nice celica. i remember mine used to look like that when i first got it. well, if i were u, i wouldnt buy the body kits.. it looks fine wiht the body kits, but the front bumper is way too long.. u cant really drive it to some shitty places.. but i would get the front lips, instead of the different bumpers. and for the turbo upgrade.. i wound get a different engine.. cuz if the engine has like over 100,000 miles, then it wouldnt work very well.. good luck on pimping ur ride!

Tight Celica, Tyler. Should look awesome when it's finished. I'll get ur sn from your xanga if it's there and give you the low down on the sanding. (It's a bitch, but if you can survive two a days you can sand). I would recommend waiting until next spring to start sanding because you'll have more time to do it outside and less rust build up. It's a good one month process unless you put in eight hours a day. Good luck.
