Went to the junkyard today and got a 7a block and harness...

Im just that much closer to my own 7age!!

The 20v head is still mounted to the 4a block on the stand and the 7a is on the ground. After some comparison, the two dont have very many obvious differences other than the liter size and the oil pan.

I have plans on custom high compression CP pistons and forged rods to make this block a whole lot stronger...

...so yes, this project will definately be n/a but mainly for reliablity over a turbo or s/c setup.

This is the 7afe harness from the junkyard. It will have to be sent off along with my 20v harness to be converted so that everything will be plug and play...

Your choice of engine and planned modifications sound great. Good pics. Noticed you didn't mention the crankshaft, there isn't much you can do there. Similar swap done before on stock blacktop internals which resulted in a noticed improvement in Torque and Maximum speed in each gear. Longer Timing (Crankshaft) belt is required. Yes, I have come across that company, havn't had the experience of their service. Keep us posted on your harness conversion.
