Today, 6/21/02, I went to Redline Performance to get the pieces for my Cold Air Intake. They consisted of two 90 degree and one 45 degree 3" aluminum pipe. I had to do it this way because the Honda down-pipe won't work on an automatic. I didn't have to cut any of the pipes. As you can see in this photo, I mounted the IAT sensor to the MAF bracket. I hope to put it in the pipe one day. It's a little hard to see here, but the filter is below the battery and past the coolant bottle. If you look in the intake hole in the lower bumper you'll see the filter. And the sound is incredible :).Okay, I'm leaving this page up in hopes that I can stop someone from wasting their time and money on this type of intake. I ran mine like this for one week and went back to a short intake. This set-up robbed me of horsepower and mileage. The two 90 degree bends caused backflow that, in effect, permitted air restriction. I was able to use the mid-pipe, a 45 degree, to make a new short intake that doesn't restrict the way the stock tube can. Peace!streetkiaz.com, we do what we do cuz we don't wanna look like these guys :). Peace!
