Thank your for visiting this page. It's finally done...Permanently. Just got rid of my car today. Bought a new 2000 Chevy Blazer, so I'll have to tear everything out of my car and put it in the Blazer. Got another challenge now =)
If I have any more pics left on the Roll of Film I didn't get developed, I'll add them later. Check back, they should be here soon.
Components that are installed in my car:
Head Unit: Pioneer DEH-P3000 -----Soon to be changed to a Pioneer DEH- P9200 with the organic EL display
Changer: Pioneer 6 CD changer
Subs: 2 Kove KE-12's ---- Definetly will be replaced as soon as possible. Most likely will replace them with Digital Designs 9512's.
Back Fill: 2 Sony Xploid three way 6x9's, these sound good, but are not meant to be bottom mounted, so I will be changing these too
Front Fill: Finally replaced the stock speakers with a 4' component set from Kove, can't remember the model number right now. Have to dig around and find the box.
Amp: Cadence A7-HC. Monoblock sub amp, puts out 1200 watts at one ohm.
Capacitor: Stinger Stiff1Man Brush Aluminum 1 Farad
Interconects: Stinger Dream series
Power wire: Stinger 4 Gauge HPM Series clear cover purple.
Fuses: I have two fuses, a Maxi Style fuse holder about 12 inches from the battery, and the same type of fuse holder before the capacitor. Both are stinger CPT series 4 Gauge Maxi Style fuse holders.
As you can see, my wires are allmost all purple. I guess it's my theme for the car =) Even my remote power on wire is purple.
Heres a pic of my and my car. Soon I will have the car repainted and the windows tinted
Here is a pic of the front of my car. Yeah Yeah, I know, It's off center, I'll have to edit it at home.
Heres a side view of my car
This was the origional plan for my system. My local install shop never had any Kove's set up to hear though, so I took matters into my own hands and got the KE-12's before spending 600 bucks for the KMG's.
This is my speaker setup right now
Heres a picture before we started to work on the box. My tip to you, save yourself some time, if you can work outside and save yourself some time on clean up, do it.
My friend toby cutting a piece of my box.
Heres a picture of toby planning the box. Perfectionism is underrated. Everything HAS to be perfect. =)
Heres toby cutting the top of my box.
Always cut everything larger. It is MUCH easier to cut some parts of the box down, rather than cut a new piece.
