The System!!

(1/6/03)

HA! You thought I ment sound system aye? Nahhh not the Cavalier, one day I'll get a cd player...but here's the "Cavalier System"..

Well I know the winter time here in the Northeast isn't the climate to be running a car, especially one like the Cavalier. However! I'm also afraid if I let it sit, the engine might sieze up or just run badly or something. So I try to run it once or twice a week for about 20 minutes. The engine gets a good warm up :-).

Here's the little system that we rigged up to run the car. There's still no brakes, and the cars muffler is facing into the house, so we had to do something. It was my dad's idea to do this. We got some kinda piping at the local hardware store, connected one end to the muffler, the other to a plastic tubing, and ran that out the window.

This is the pipe connected to the muffler. Not on as tightly as I would want, and the car was running when I took this pic, not too safe LOL. This is the original muffler 116,000 miles, so that's why its so rusted.

Here's some pictures from outside. That smoke of course is the exaust. You can see all the snow; we got like 14 inches!

Sorry these are blurry, its the best the camera can do.

Above: All the warning lights that don't seem to go away....They are from left to right: "Brake (E)(!), Service Engine Soon, and Fasten Belts.
Below: This is a little clearer. Couldn't sqeeze the brake light in.

Yea, something messed up with the seatbelt light. It goes on whenever the drivers door is opened, sometimes even when the seatbelt is buckled!!
Service Engine Soon just kinda turns on and off...lol

I seriously think I inhaled too many car fumes.
