ChevyG20SS's 1995 Chevrolet Van

Well i got her I think back in november of 2004 or so.
I orginally agreed with the seller a friend of my mom's to pay $1000.00 but ended up spend a huge wad of cash getting alot of things fixed. Repairs thus far - Complete brake overhaul new booster, Master cylinder, pads and shoes, and new rear lines. rebuilt water pump that sucks, new alternator, new starter all new head lights, two new front dash speakers a security system, pioneer cd/radio XM ready (I'm still not ready). New fuel pump and strainer. the suspension is fubarred, and Soon she'll need a new oil pump and strainer. and here and there misc. repairs and mods.

More later....

Here's A simple mod for your van. If you have those boring stock rims that look almost like trailer rims. I did this one hot summer day. Pull your beauty rings off and unbolt your center caps. Scrub your rims down with a scrubby sponge of some kind. Rinse let dry, Go buy the sparkle type black rustoleum spraypaint. Paint like you would anything. let dry, And put yer hardware back on and presto! poor punk rocker bling! 8 months and not one chip or scratch and they get washed alot. they get dirty alot too. 1 can did all four rims!

Eventually you can build the engine that I layed out for Astrosafari.org. Bored 0.030" over, performer TBI intake, ported 4.3 swirl ports, 305 injectors, GM VAFPR, compucam 4.3 cam, ultimate TBI mods, early 4.3 tubular style exhaust manifolds, 180* thermostat, CFM-tech spacer, hypertech powercharger ring, prom tuning. It is making approximately 250-270 FWHP @ 5,000 and about 300 ft/lbs @ 3,000 Real nice engine compared to stock and didn't cost too much to build. RWHP would be a touch over 225 or so.

Your van is looking good. Always nice to see a shorty! 4.3 V6 means gas isn't eating you alive like a big 350 would. You can always put some punch in a 4.3 if you want. More cam, more compression, port the heads, edelbrock TBI intake, 454 TBI, flow matched injectors, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, TBI spacer, Hypertech Powercharger bowl, chip, etc. Check out my van sometime, it might give you some ideas.
