BimmerFest 2004 Calgary, Alberta June 26,
Sponsored by Tunerworks.

The Seattle7s and Seattle5s rounded up a few cars to head to Calgary. Its about 650-740 miles, depending on the route. Thats 12 to 14 hours of road time! We started early Friday morning at the Mill Creek Starbucks.

After we crossed into Canada in Sumas, we picked up Igor from Vancouver BC. He brought his E30 convertible.

Dang, we shouldnt have taken that exit
Oh no, my car has NAV so now I am in the lead! But this was what I saw in my rear view mirror!
Lets see, gas by the litre and the exchange rate how much are we paying? We took up all the slots at this gas station in Salmon Arm, our half way point and lunch break town.
Somewhere around Rogers Pass we ran into a couple other BMWs headed to Calgary. We lined up and headed to Golden for a pit stop.

Saturday morning was the big event! We lined up our cars then had a great day with the new friends we met.

If you look in the distance over the driver's mirror, you can just see the top of the Calgary tower that is in the skyline.
Heres Igor from BC and his E30 convertible.
We meet DuckGuy and watched as he headed up to the roof for a better view!

These pictures are his, from above.

You can see me by my car (right picture below) taking the one of him on the roof!
There was a drive to Canmore in the evening but I didnt go. (This picture is also from DuckGuy.)

I had to split from the group for the drive back to Seattle (time constraints). Hopefully the rest of them will have some good pictures of their sight seeing on the way back too!
