SOLD!
Welcome to my latest ride, a 1983 Chevrolet Caprice Classic CL. It has a tired 305 V8 with a 200 R4 4 speed transmission with overdrive. It runs pretty good, but the rings and oil seals have gone bad so it burns about a quart of oil a week. Right now there is no muffler either, and it's a very loud ride. Current plans are to inspect the frame, and if all is well in that department I'll begin modding it. We're going to remove the 305 and the 200R4 and remove the whole computer system to get it back to the basics. Replacing it will be a mild 350 with hopefully somewhere in the neighborhood of 300-350 hp and a TH350 trans. Along with that, I'll be replacing the stock rear end with a posi rear end from a Monte Carlo SS. After that, I'll be working on the body, replacing all 4 doors, the trunk, and the hood. A fresh coat of paint will be put on, color to be decided later. Finally, the rims will be changed with some classic Cragar rims. Unoriginal, but I love the look so it's what I'll get. Fortunately I have a backup plan too. If the frame has rotted, I'm simply going to derby it. Either way I'll have fun. Here's some shots of it I got from the seller.

Here's some foggy shots after it made the long trip home (120 miles at 80 mph).

More pictures later! Thanks for checking my ride.

7-28-05 Update!
I put a muffler on, still loud as hell because all the existing pipe was rusted out. I shot some pics of the interior and all that. Enjoy!
