My Competition ACURA CLS
This is my 2003 CLS that is for sale. 55,000 km. i'm not showing pics of the outside right now, it's stock except for tinted windows. Here are some pics to let you know whats going on with the stereo.
This is my trunk set up. This is half way through while i still had 1 us amp.
The black shadow chrome amp is a mono amp, bridged down to 2 ohms and 1180 rms. Doesn't even break a sweat. It can easily push 2000rms at 1 ohm.
Running my front end i'm using 4 channels of a 6 channel 6X75rms 6.420 Direct vrx.
The vrx is running 2 Focal Acess 13's. there pretty good. In competion, i've hit 141db, and that's with the gain at 4 of 10 or 12. so definitly no lack of sound pressure in this SQ car.
2 channels run the tweets, 2 for the woofers. The other 2 channels run focal acess 5.25's. They can't be seen because they are hidden in stock locations.
2 13' Focal Acess Subs in a ported box. Don't let the port fool you, they are very accurate and very SQ driven
the whole sub box has been cascaded. (same as dynamat)
This the the new alpine Pxa-h701. it's key for tuning. We hooked up the rta and made 23 different eq adjustments to balance this car, not to mind time correction, time delay on the subs, ect ect. Very nice peice. Hooks up to the Rux-c701 in the front. i'll get some pics of that for u.
One of the big advantages of this peice is it accepts optical signals. The siganl comes from this head unit.
Switching to optical got rid of some noise problems i had. The car is dead silent now.
The focal chant is used behind the 2 6.5 inch woofers, to eliminate backwaves, but it really increases the midbass performance. Very nice addition. the wood baffle is to accomidate such a beefy speaker.
Further sound deadening took place to seal the doors while eliminating outside noise.

I had the tweets in the stock location, they just wern't doing it for me, moving them 3 inches made a world of diffenrnce in terms of imaging. they rock in there custom A pillar mount.
more detail, better imaging, this is where focal likes to see there tweets, and now i know why.
This is the current deck in the car, it's quite basic DVD deck however all the fancy stuff is done thrhough the PHX-701
