I sold my Land Rover because it was a POS and traded it in for a 2003 Mazda 6.
I I didnt like as I got it but I saw the potential. I needed new rims and had to remove that ugly ass pinstriping. I removed the pinstriping with a blowdryer and my fingernail. Then cleaned the residue with goo-gone.
The rims I ordered were Motegi MR7's. I like how clean silver on silver looks and Im not for chrome. Theyre 18 x 7.5 and wrapped in Capital 225/40z/18s. Looks much better.
I also got rid of the stock grill and got a S grille.
Looks much better than how I got it
It came with an eclipse aftermarket radio and cdt speakers mounted in the door so it was a good start for me.
Update 12-06 :
I decided to go with an active front stage setup.I purchased a Premier DEH-P880PRS. This hadunit has the best 3 way crossover network and a left and right sperate 16 band eq. Its nice to be able to tune on the fly.
Later I sold My older zapcos and PG amp because I was able to get a great deal on these sony amps. These are seriously high end amps most people dont even consider.
I picked up a great old school Audiocontrol MASS 12 inch sub. These were great subs and I always wanted to get my hand on one. Its a shame they went under.
I sealed the box that was ported to give the MASS 1.4 cubic foot sealed. This sub pounds. Its almost too much for me even with 600 watts.
The trunk as it is now
For the front stage, I am running a set of Rainbow kickbasses/ morel mt-23
The midwoofers Im using are Dayton 7 inch references in deadened stock locations.
And thats it for now. The rest of this is my older system and some fabricaton.
Now that the cosmetics are done, to the system...
