bought an KLZE intake manifold.. its the one of the JDM mx6, with the 200hp engine. its not on yet cos' i need a ricey ass CAI (the stock airbox doesnt fit up) but im wondering if i want to as my engine has only 70K miles now, and if i fukc it up, well, yeah.

but who gives a shit!! i polished it anyway.

tools used were:
-wire brush
-barrel sander
-nylon brush bit
-dremel with heaps of tools for details
-JOSCO polishing compounds.. tripoli for the main polishing, then the SS polishing compound for final shine
-polishing disks.. the ones you clamp in the drill bit.

wont go through it all.. but no joke, this will take HOURS, and is a lot of work... no matter what Graham_a_m says

this is after a few hours of the wire brush and nylon brush... and a bit of the barrel sander ithink, to take out the pores (thats its use, get rid of imperfections in the metal.. while the wire brush is for cleaning) the hard nylon brush starts the polishing.

this is after a lot of polishing with the tripoli.. its starting to get fair shiny.

this is after alot of polishing with the SS compound. there are some imperfections left (see the middle and right runners, and neck, just after the TB)

it looks better in real life... i swear.

meh.. i like it anyway, if i ever put it on, ill update this page. btw, next to get polished is the VC, but it is hard to find spares for under 70bucks.

Really liked the story of your MX6, very sad ending tho. You mustve been quite pissed off about it. How long did it take you to polish the inlet, it looked stunning.

i really like those headlights! Where did u get them? All the direct plug and play ones on ebay are the uglyish black plastic ones. I wanted some like that but can't find ANY.
