The feature that attract me to the Leone (or L Series as it's called here in Australia) is the versatiltiy of being a 4WD and a smaller passenger car.
I bought the car in 2003 and it was VERY standard. It was also a DL. I have put nearly every Touring Wagon option into it (instrument cluster, seats, intertior lights, door handles, etc). The only things it does not have is power windows and carpets (neither of which I plan to add)
In 2005, I changed to a Full Time 4WD box - which is rare than hen's teeth in Australia. It performs great on and offroad. Has been on the beach, Fraser and Moreton Island - and also on a few great mud tracks.
In the near future, I am looking at putting a snorkel on it (been upgrading the air intake for this very purpose) and replacing the EA82 engine. I see no need for an EJ motor - my car goes where I point it.
