Replacement of the Bulb on a 2ng Gen 3000GT is actually pretty easy after you have done it once. Below is a description on how to remove the assembly and replace the bulb.
Step 1 - Remove the Outer Plastic Shield
This piece is held on with a spring clip on one side and just pulls off.
Step 2 Remove Outer Lens Assembly
The outer lens assembly is held on with two screws. Remove these and it will expose the inner Bulb Holder
Step 3 Remove Inner Bulb Holder
The inner lens assembly and bulb holder is held on with two screws. Remove these and it will expose the bulb and retention spring
Step 4 Remove Bulb
The bulb itself is held on with a retention spring. Press down on the spring and swing it out of the way to remove the bulb. REMEMBER: Dont touch the bulb with your fingers or it will blow out.
Thats all there is to it. The bulb, by the way is type H3-55W
