The second 1975 Maja Yellow Lancia Beta Coupe This car has currently diverted me from working on the car shown on the previous page since I should be able to get it on the road more quickly...however. Here's the Summary problems now that the car is home... NOV 2005 Original Steering Wheel & spare Carburettor & gearshift linkage in the boot along with Cylinder head, rest of engine still fitted. Rear Quarter Window frames very rusty -has led to some rust in B-pillar. Some rust in bottom corner of A-pillar relating to stainless steel drip-rails -not too bad. Small rust under tail-light trims Known rust behind Frt wheels, joint of rr 1/4 to sills, frt corners of bonnet & lower frt crossmember near subframe mount; subframe will need to come out for access. Frt seat backs not tilting forward properly, parts missing, trims broken & will need dis-assembly/re-assembly. Interior door handles & Window winder knobs & sun visor broken. Drivers window has some chips out of top edge-looks messy. Tires look good, spare wheel rim a bit dented. Instrument panel cracked, cluster lens opaque from sun, radio wires everywhere. Fuel filler pipe fractured from tank ! Cannot see anything obviously wrong with engine or Head, assorted bolts might take some searching through tin in boot. Evidence of repainting, sand marks, filler(?) in unusual location just above rear wheel arches; tow bar a factor ? Original colour consistently & heavily faded/oxidized but should polish up ok. Pretty sure Lancia did not cover the interiors with the red & black cloth used inside & colour flash in door trims tan vinyl (haven't seen that in a '75 1800 before but could have been offered) Split seam on drivers seat, rear parcel shelf vinyl cracking.
