The Process Pictures On My Engine
Parts removed from the engine...The timing chain coverwas so painted up,it took heavy-duty paint stripper to remove the Chevrolet red/orange from it. I didn't trust the waterpump on it so a new waterpump was bought. As you can see in the pic below, I got the ring gear replaced and the wheel balanced and resurfaced.

After 2 wire wheels on a power drill and 3 putty knife blades I got 98% of the nasty orange paint off. I masked all places where the gaskets go, so scrapping wouldn't have to take place later. First I wire brushed and cleaned the intake. Then I painted it along with the water pump and timing chain cover. After the intake dried I masked it off(as shown) and primed and painted the block and the oil pan.
Well the fun was putting it all back together. Piece by piece bolt by bolt. As you can see now, all that time, money and effory pays off. I am still amazed at how it looks.
