Welcome to my MR2 pages. These pages are dedicated to my '87 MR2, my sixth MR2 now. The first page here will just show you the most current pics and a general rundown of the car, the second page hosts some really cool MR2 pics which you might find interesting, and the third page has pictures of all my past MR2's. Enjoy!
12/5/08 UPDATE Well, the ol' deuce finally blew its engine. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as now I have an AE92 MAP/DLI (MAP sensor-equipped and distributorless ignition) 4AGZE supercharged engine waiting to go in. Also will be installed are a SPEC Stage II clutch, Fidanza aluminum flywheel and adjustable cam gears, HKS 264deg camshafts, NST oversized crank pulley, a custom 2.5" exhaust, and the good ol' Grunt Box. The swap should have been done a month ago, but I work too much and I keep running into issues with fitment of different things. The 20V 4AGE header required considerable modification to fit, and the USDM 4AGZE alternator bracket won't fit the wider JDM 4AGZE alternator. Also, the starter won't clear the header, so I had to get a C56 transmission and swap the bellhousing onto my C52. Just a lot of stupid little stuff, but it's almost done!
Recent pictures:
The motor before it spun a bearing, or three. It looks clean up top, but underneath it's caked in oil.
The interior looks a little different now; I swapped that silver "carbon fiber look" bezel surround with a regular-colored "carbon fiber look" surround. It's not the best but at least it matches. Also, the shift knob is now a TRD Duracon piece and there is a black leather shift boot.
Pics of before I installed CF hood/trunk. I plan to install an '89 LED spoiler on the CF trunklid and color key both hood and trunklid, since I like this look much better:
