I had a mint 1997 Z28 Camaro with a freshly rebuilt LT1. After only 4K miles someone ran a red light and the camaro is no more. I was able to save the motor, and have found a great deal on a worthy project to put the motor into, this 1970 Corvette coupe. I will update the site as the project moves along.
A special thanks to Mark from Mark's Auto Repair Rye, NY and the Palmeri brothers and crew at 44-55 Auto Body in Highland NY for doing a great job assisting me, and completing what I cannot with my project! Also my friend Doug, who's solely to blame for me getting this car in the first place!

1/21/10: Well what can I say, A house with endless projects and a big wedding have taken all my time and money. But being the lucky guy I am my wife has offered to help get it running!
I am exploring my options to get the exhaust in, have all the mechanicals gone through, the suspension aligned properly, and an LT1 scan and diagnostic to figure why this thing has no spark. This is the year this car gets running, or I go Broke!

7/08/07: Current pictures - The car is finally home where it belongs! All cleaned up, no parts piled in it, no more driving hours to work on it, no more depending on someone else to get it running! Here are some pics in the driveway and garage:

6/06/07: It's been forever since I've updated this page. The car took a backseat to a condo sale, house purchase and subsequent moving. But now getting the car running and into it's new home, my own garage is top priority! As of this entry, the car will turn over but not run due to a fuel injector issue, but it's that close to running! Once it runs, the exhaust will be finished at a local shop, and then an alignment completed before it's maiden voyage. Here's a youtube link to the motor turning over on carb spray, along with some new pics:
