~Welcome to The Colt's Homepage!~

Updated 11 February 2006

colty's 1991 Mitsubishi Colt

My beast is a 1991 Mirage Colt. Havent seen another 'Colt' in NZ, so I guess you could say its a pretty rare car!!

It's 'powered' by a 4g61 1.6L non turbo beast of an engine, propelling me from 0-100km/h in about 3 minutes flat! lol.

It came factory fitted with a Mirage Cyborg front bumper, VR4 style sideskirts, plastic rear bumper (instead of the metal ones most Colts/Mirages get), a rubber mid-spoiler, a top wing, recaro fishnet bucket seats and some funky gauges below the radio.

LATEST UPDATE!
(11 February '06)

Alrighty, done a little bit since the last update. My shocks were pretty well shot, so I decided to go with a little upgrade and got Monroe Reflex's all round, fcuking love em lol. Also got all the brake rotors machined and new Bendix Metal King brake pads all round.

As well as that, I removed a silencer/restricter that was found in my AFM. Sounds alot better and feels a bit peppier now. At the same time I scored a proper intake pipe off a friend for free lol.

AND i got a Carbon Fibre Spark Plug Cover to replace the polished one I had before. Yay for weight reduction lol!

Took it racing again, didnt improve on my time unfortunately lol, still stuck in the 17s, but have gotten alot more consistant than I was. Out of the 5 races, all of my trap speeds have improved from previous times (by about 3km/h lol), which I guess means the new intake stuff works. Lol.

Ok, pics:

UPDATE!
(21 December '05)

Well, I traded in my old OZ Racing EVO-3 wheels and a little cash, and got these 17" White Advanti Stalkers a few days ago!

Also, I took the Colt to the dragstrip a couple of weeks ago with the lightweight 14"s on, and managed a best pass of 17.700 lol, yes its insanely slow. That should soon change though, boooost!! hehehehe...

UPDATE!
(06 November '05)

Haven't updated this in a while. Anywho, since the last update, the Colt has been treated to a little bit of an exterior/suspension makeover with new B+G 40mm springs and genuine Ralliart mudflaps. The car was still a bit high for my liking, so I had the rear springs compressed another 20mm, and it now sits and rides really good, handling with the new springs was improved 100%..
Next to come when I get money, Koni shock absorbers, rear strut brace and security window tints...watch this space!
