Hey guys this is my 1994 T/A. I'm workin on puttin some mods on it without messing with perfection. I have put a dual hump functional ram air hood on it. I think it will make it a little bit meaner without destroyin the clean lines of this f-body. I haven't decided for sure what engine modification I want to do. I'm still debating whether to pour money into a procharger and intercooler or to work a little at a time and get a 383 stroker kit as well as an Lt4 conversion kit (intake manifold, lt4 cylinder heads, hot cam, and timing set). The guy who sold this to me already did many minor mods but nothin big. He told me it was rated at 390 hp, but I estimate 340-350 maybe. Still thats plenty of power, but you can never have too much hp. The list of possibilities for beefing up a lt1 is almost endless. If anyone has got some suggestions on what is the best route to go let me know. I'm gonna take to the strip in the late summer/early fall and get some quarter mile times. Hopefully by then i'll have some more power under the hood. Right now my car is gettin a new tougher transmission that will hold back more horsepower and hopefully take a little more abuse.
Update: I just got my dual hump ram air hood. I need to get the grill inserts painted the same silver color as my rims. I also just got the black trans am floor mats (with a red screaming chicken design). Even though my carpet is gray the mats match my seat and dask perfectly and give the inside a clean custom look. I highly recommend them. I was debating whether or not to make the hood functional or not, because I already have an air induction kit running underneath the car by Callaway Honker. If you have any tips/feedback on what I should do, I'm all ears. My exterior styling mods are reaching their end, I'm running out of options, but I still have far to go as far as performance. My transmission is installed and shifts hard. So hard that the car almost kicks sideways between 1st and 2nd gear. I have to look into it some more. Thanks for checkin my page, I'll try to keep it updated.
Finally got to take my car to the strip. It ran a 13.99 on the first night. That was with no tire pressure adjustment or preloading the torque converter. We took it back to the strip two days later when it was 95 Degrees and the car of course ran a little slower. I will update better times as I get them.
