In Feb 2001 I decided that it was time to retire the car from daily driver to project car. The car had been giving me problems left and right so it was definately time to rebuild. I started rebuilding it in july 2001 mostly just tearing it down whenever time and money allowed but since the interior was beat up badly and the engine needed alot of work it has taken awhile to complete the tear down phase. Some of the problems that I have run into are: badly cut up wiring harness, nonfunctional A/C, tons of grease/dirt/oil, and rusted out bolts. But finally after about 9mos the tear down phase is complete. Now begins the clean-up phase.
