This is the way the T/A sat before I picked it up.

The former owner lowered the front end (likes) but jacked up the back end (don't likes). I hate the profile of the tires. I'm probably going with P295 50 B.F. Goodriches in the back and P275 (that's right) 50's in the front all on the factory 15x8 WS6 rims.

The back bumper is peeling a little but it's warped really bad from the sun (like they all do). still not bad considering the car's been sitting for two years. It's still shiny! I'm going to make some kind of brace and fiberglass it to the bumper I think.

These will look great when I'm done polishing them and get the T/A caps. It just doesn't look the same without the white lettering on the tires though. I'm going to paint it with the factory heritage brown paint and all the factory correct decals and correct bumper fascia.

This is the Driver's side of the car. Notice the rust bubbling through on the surface of the car on the roof above the door. This is the only serious flaw on the exterior of the car. (Notice also the rust free quarter panel and rear window. the exterior looks very solid from what I can tell so far which is why I bought the car.)

As you can see the ground effects don't quite match up, I think that's because it's a '78 front end with '79 ground effects

The rust. (the white spots are water spots)

The crappy and very modified interior. The grey, cloth seats are out of who knows what. The dash is cracked, painted (the paint is melted to the dash mat), the door panels are made out of carpet, the carpet (on the floor) is all cut up, and the instrument cluster bezel has mismatched gauges and one gauge fastened to the steering column. The old owner chucked the original center console in replace of this aftermarket shifter. I'm putting the original shifter, console and all new camel tan (original colour) interior in, but only after I have it painted. I have nearly all new parts and will have spent around $2,000 total on restoring this inside with parts and labour. expensive.

The "yeehaw" headliner. What were they thinking when they did this to my baby! The interior is a mess. this is where most of the restoration started and it's pretty much complete. I just need to install it! lol.

2. the engine
3. the interior
4. bodywork

Hey! Looks like you've got a fairly decent project on your hands! Keep up the good work! I'm sure it's gonna be a beast onec it's done.

It would be cool to block off the heat risers on that. You could get up to 50 horse power more by Bobcatting it like that. The only down side is slower warmups in the winter, but you probably don't want to drive it in the winter anyway.
