This is my 1974 Chevrolet Pro-Street 4WD Pulling Truck. It is set up to pull in the 6500 Lb. Class. We run a 496 Big Block Chevy Engine, a TH400 automatic transmission, NP203 Transfer Case, Dana 60 Front and a 14 Bolt Rear. The gears are 5:13's and the front suspension is leaf springs and the rear suspension is solid. We would like to thank our sponsors who are After Hours 4x4 Shop, Rico's Rods and Relics, and The Lincoln Electric Company. If you are interested in being a sponsor or finding out more about the team you can visit our website at

"EDUCATION THROUGH MOTORSPORTS" YOUTH PROGRAM
Heavy Metal is a modified four-wheel drive truck pulling team that is dedicated to the sport of Truck and Tractor Pulling. We are committed to promoting and improving this sport to the best of our ability. Heavy Metal is encouraged to help out the youth through a couple of programs. One is the Pullers Against Drugs program that is promoted through the National Tractor Pullers Association and the other is a program that we created called Education Through Motorsports. We talk to children about fire safety, staying in school and being on the right path, information they can use later on in life. We will go to local schools, car shows, fairs, and pulls to promote this program. We have a 1974 Chevrolet PRO-STREET 4WD and it weighs 6500 pounds. We pull with the Interstate Truck and Tractor Pullers, The VA/NC Truck and Tractor Pullers, and Dragon Motorsports. The truck is sponsored by Shiffletts Hauling Inc., After Hours 4x4 Shop, Ricos Rods & Relics, and the Lincoln Electric Company. Heavy Metal Pulling team is willing to do all they can to promote these programs and this wonderful sport.

This was the truck that was to debut in the 06 Season but plans changed and now we have a 1974 Chevy PRO-STREET PULLING TRUCK.
