I have decided to keep it in the Euro family and I am so FUCKING happy that I did! It was a mix between the Volvo S60R (100 more HP than the Audi but it also weighs a lot more) but read about lots of problems and concerns with the Volvo (not to say they aren't good cars but I chose the Audi)

So here is my 2001 VW Jetta 1.8T Wolfsburg Edition. Bought it bone stock. Only thing that was on my car were the H & R springs. I originally had the OTG body kit but it was cheap fiberglass so my boyfriend bought me a Rieger body kit, rear window spoiler, and carbon fiber Boser hood. For wheels I have the 18" Konig Unknowns with the Falken Ziex all season tires. I had the Konig Unknowns custom painted so let me know how they look.
With performance I decided to get a bigger turbo and chip it thru APR. I also have the 3" APR turbo inlet pipe (noticeable difference), 3" APR downpipe, and 3" MaxPSI racing cat back exhaust. I'm thinking of getting the LSD but I don't race around all the time and don't think it would be worth the $$. Once you start increasing your power, you always want more but I'm trying to get the most out of my K04 without having to do some major engine mods.
TIMING BELT MISHAP!!! 2006
For the v-dubbers that have done some engine mods and are planning to change out their timing belts when the book says (anywhere from 80-100k) DON'T LISTEN TO THAT Shyte!! Based off personal experience with my timing belt breaking at 79k and having to spend over $2000 to replace all the valves that were bent (and most of them were) I would suggest changing out your timing belt every 65-70k. The VW specialty shop that repaired my jetta suggested no more than 65k.
My oil is changed every 3000 miles with Mobil 1 fully synthethic oil. I use 91 octane fuel (since Colo. Spgs. doesn't have a better grade, of course) only and have been since I bought my car in Sept '04. Love and treasure your car and it will run forever. Keeping your vehicle up to tune will save you tons of work down the road, especially if you plan to do any type of engine mods.

Installed the APR Turbo Compressor Inlet Hose and man what a difference. The turbo spools up at a lower RPM and you feel that boost faster. Better of the simple mods for the $$!

I was driving on the hwy doing about 60MPH and happened to look at my hood. It was flopping around so bad I thought it was going to fly off. So I did some reasearch on the Vortex about carbon fiber hoods and how important it is to have hood pins. The next day ordered the Aerocatch hood pins and got them installed today (March 7th). I highly recommend them (or ANY hood pins with your carbon fiber hood)
