Welcome to my 4x4 Dakota Page

*I some bad news you guys. I sold the truck and bought a 01 GMC Sierra. I am not per say a Mopar,Ford,or GM only guy. It was too good of a deal to pass up so i bought it and gave them my ride. I will continue helping anyone that has questions on these great trucks. Once i have enough money i will be buying another one of these GEN 2 trucks for which i think they are definitely the best performing trucks ever. Yeah the after market doesn't support them like they should but for near stock these things rock. Check out my Sierra for progress on that truck. Hard to make it original unlike these though. Good luck to you!

*NEW PICS OF ALL THE RECENT HAPPENINGS*

Updated: Thursday, September 14, 2006
I recently had my pitman arm and some other steering components replaced and now it feels like a new truck again. The steering is really tight and i like it a lot. Since winter is coming i went ahead and bought some new tires for the winter and what not! This time around they are 275/75/R15, they measure out to 32" tall!! Yes they do rub but only on full lock this time turning left so its okay! I had my u joints fail on me going to work one day and i dropped my driveshaft on the road breaking the expansion housing off the back of the transfer case! NOT FUN! The output shaft is a tiny bit tweaked but still usable... I plan to replace that eventually when i have time to take it apart. Oh the tires are Cooper Discovery M+S! I enjoy them but miss the sound of my Mud Rovers. I cranked the torsion bars a bit to help compensate for the bigger tires so now it looks a bit like a SOCAL truck! I keep pushing the body lift and suspension lift back for other expenses... I hope to order them by winter but if i do they won't be put on until spring. I still plan to get new summer tires to but not sure what!

Pictures are now here... I just recently went to a junkyard and found and pulled out a overhead console out of a newer Gen 2 Dakota... It comes complete with all the wiring and harness. Wow its indescribable how hard it was to get it all out... Tearing out the dash and getting into all the harnesses under the hood and such. It also comes with a self dimming mirror which is quite cool and It has map lights, Tells me Temperature, Compass.. Its all digital and WILL work once installed. I'm in the process of rewrapping the console with matching interior headliner material because it was tan and needs to be blue. I've also decided to buy the Truxxus STS tires 33X12.50R15 Which will rule! and fit!!! Obviously with body lift and cranked T-bars. The Trailmaster will come later on towards the fall.

I finished the bed liner finally and then went on to painting my hood. That was a fun job... i took off the "fake cowl" and returned to looking stock. This looks a lot better. Also just got a new job and lets just say... I'M LIFTING IT, I'll be making enough to buy the Trailmaster lift! Yea along with a body lift and 35X12.50R17 Terra Mud Grapplers! Also a real cowl hood is coming from Steel Hoods.com cause I hate not having a cowl. Thats all for now new pics on page two coming soon.

Might as well do the body lift and torsion crank with the add-a-leafs, I haul a lot with my truck, It gets used for what it was made for!

Over the weekend I ordered some taillight covers off of eBay... They are so hard to find and I bought them for only ten bucks!!! I got the covers today and put them on! They turned out well, wasn't sure on how they looked on my truck before i got them, They're kind of I also put in like I said I would a spray in bed liner which turned out AWESOME!!!
I also found out that my truck can pull 6,900 pounds, found this out in an old ad in a Four Wheeler magazine. I'm going to take my class four receiver hitch off, sandblast it and Rhino line it like my bed! Also going to do my frame with that stuff, It looks so good.

*ALOT MORE MODS ARE COMING TO MY TRUCK SINCE SUMMER IS COMING*

Taking the topper off maybe tonight and putting in a spray bed liner, maybe, maybe not but we'll see.

Hey everyone there's a new lift possibly from Truxxs Suspensions... it is a torsion key way lift which will give about a total of 4" of lift, What we need from you is feedback to this link to show how many people are interested in this product. If theirs lot's of interest they'll develop the part and it will cost WAY LESS than Trailmaster's 4" suspension.

Well installed all the maintenance stuff today and wow what a difference. I still need to put on a new belt and run some "Sea foam" through it. Not sure if I will or not but supposedly it works good and cleans the engine out quite well. Another thing is the brakes. WOW!!! I didn't know you could have brakes that work this good on a truck. I can lock up all four tires on dry pavement. Which i think is very good. The drums were so easy this time. It took longer to do the calipers than the drums. Amazingly unbelievable but true. On my engine and exterior pages are some new pictures.

Last night I pulled the rear tires off to inspect the drum brakes, to see if I needed to spray anything around the lugs incase they don't come off. To my surprise they pulled right off... Which isn't good, they are completely shot, oh well time to replace them then. I got new pics on page two from my phone, you can tell which ones are them because of the quality, these were all taken last year also.

The truck is going to undergo a major tune-up, few things need to be done, Complete Brake job, thermostat, new bulbs for head and taillights, Hoses, all the fluids, belts, spark plugs and wires, maybe a "cap" that's it for now...

Dynow4001's 1993 Dodge Dakota

Welcome to my redesigned web page. I recently got a new digital camera so all my pics will be a lot better quality. To start if you already didn't know I own a 1993 Dodge Dakota with a 5.2L V8. The model is an LE with all the options except power windows and locks. The interior is flawless and after being recently repainted the truck is in just as good of shape as it was new.

I love wheeling, so that is the setup my truck is going with. I am only 17 years old so money is a little tight because I start college next year and I'm still making payments on the truck. Thanks dad for the loan. So mods will come upon the truck if I randomly find deals, other than that I'd just like to keep it in top running shape.

There is a page here for everyone, whether they want some information on Dakotas, exterior and interior styling, audio, engine, and the all important mudding pics.

Here we go, Dont forget to sign my Guestbook!!!

when i bought my 4'' trailmaster susp and 2'' body i was told that 35'' tires could fit with a 4'' tralmaster susp alone. so they told me that 36'' tires could fit with the 2'' body when i took it to the shop they didnt put my control arms in because of rusted bolts could this be the reason why i can barely fit 33'' tires or is it that you just cant fit 35'' with the 4'' trilmaster susp.

it doesn't look like you have a lift, but would you recommend the 2-3" lift off of ebay? the one with the rear blocks and new torsion keys. i love the 11th and 12th picture you have on the 5th page. the tread looks so wide and aggressive.
