Future Plans

My intentions with this car is to keep it mainly stock, but with a few goodies. I want to keep it relatively stock because I'm hoping I'll still have it when it becomes a classic, 10 years is a long way off. Now, for my plans:

Exterior
-- Repaint! Currently it's a pearl white color (white basecoar, white/blue/violet pearl midcoat, clearcoat). Since it will keep the cost down I'll keep it pearl white, and the ground effects will be gold. I'm going to do the recesses in the left headlight cover where it says "Pontiac" in gold metalflake.

-- Finish the front bumper cover. It's bowed down in the area right in front of the LH headlight from when the pervious owner crashed it. Heat seems to work wonders on those plastic parts, I'm hoping that with a little coaxing and heat that it will go back to it's true position.

Interior
-- New headliner. This one is in the works right now, waiting on a plastic headliner board from Classic Industries. It'll be recovered in beechwood cloth.

-- New carpet. Still deciding on keeping it the stock color, beechwood, or changing the entire interior to a different color.

-- Reupholster seats. Same deal as the carpet, still deciding on whether or not to keep the interior the stock color.

Engine
-- Rebuild the 3.1. Right now it's clocked 127,171 miles. It's still very strong and I have no problems with it. It won't be rebuilt for quite a while.

-- Ignition. Probably only going to put a better coil on. Usually use the accell or MSD cap with brass terminals. Better wires too, probably the 8.8mm Accell wires. I was broke last time I changed the wires, I could only afford the 7mm wires.

-- Intake. K&N filter. I'll leave the setup stock.

Transmission
-- Rebuild 700r4. The tranny will probably go before the engine does. It grinds while upshifting once in a great while in warm weather like this. In the winter, it grinds all the time.

-- B&M ratchet shifter. B&M's ratchet Megashifter looks like a fun toy!

Exhaust
-- Headers. PaceSetter headers.

-- Highflow cat. I've decided on a Catco high-flow catalytic converter.

-- Exhaust system. Will definately go with Dynomax's Super Turbo exhaust system.

Suspension
-- Leaving this alone.

That's it for now. As I think of other things, I'll add them
