Things for the Drag Strip
A great product and a must for anyone who has a manual transmission and wants the most out of their car!
Here is my Raptor Performance Shift Light (notice when you go to their website the video is of me and the camaro at the drags!) photos of it at least:
A little taste of what a shift light can do:
Here is what actually came from Raptor Performance®:
The 12v source I used for the Shift Light, it's off the ACS, behind the SLP TCS module:
Part of the way through the installation the light will be mounted as seen below:
Alright here is the Raptor Shiftlight mounted in the air duct with pictures below of it off, on the left and on, on the right both in the day and night below it:
When I go to the drag races to improve visability i remove the air duct screen:
Ohh a little secret:
My helmet a NHRA requirement for 13.99 and quicker:
If you go to the track a lot then you might want to look into these stick on numbers from Summit Racing they are cheap and you dont have to wipe them off at then end of the day simple to change up as well (Part # Sum-210 for Summit:)
Shoes make a huge difference for those of us with big feet or who like to feel the pedal check out thin those soles are!
SLP Line Locker kit:
Here they are on the car under the hood:
This is the ground location for the line lockers almost directly below the switch location
Here is part way through the swith installation for the Line Lockers:
The switch for the line lockers located in the ashtray:
Open and closed shots with the switch:
Finally for those who are serioius about maintaining a stock apperence there is this route which I think is quite nice looking. Now for a little explanation first off I ordred an ASR switch (GM part # 1027-3877) and then ordered a pigtail from ACDelco (Part# 1071), these will be used later (they didn't work as planned but will work for a NOS purge switch!). Finally the plate itself (GM part # 10280509) only problem is it comes with a Pontiac symbol, oh well I just put a GM sticker over it, and it looks great, then I realized that a fog light (RPO T96 = GM Part#10273879) switch and pigtail (ACDelco Part #PT1186) for the switch would be better:
So I decided to wire in a LED light to let me know when the line locker is activated, with some on and off shots. After further use I realized I much prefer the option below this one where I use the orange indicator light in the foglight itself:
Here is this option which I prefer. It is even more stock appearing mainly becuase you use the orange indicator light on the foglight switch itself:

Here are my stock tires like all the rocks from the burnout box at the drags?
Hey where did my tire go?
Nitto 555R [245/50/R16] D.O.T. Drag Radials these tires are awesome I don't know how I lived with out them before..
And even better then the Drag radials are...
-(2) GM 16X8” 5-star chrome rims w/ 26x10.5xR16 MT ET streets
Finally the slicks on the car on comparison photo of the Nitto's vs. the M/T's on top:
What slicks? I love that you can barely tell that they are on there, they dont stick out or rub at all!
The old setup good until she blew up
Recently ordered the Motive Performance 4.10 gears with TA performance girdle:
They showed up!
And now they are finally on man what a difference!
And here they are all blown up...notice the crack in the carrier!
The new set up, that won't blow up
The Moser 9" unpainted and painted below that:
The Moser 9" in the vehicle!!! Look how big the pinion is:
Here is why you do the recommended break in and change the fluid in the first 10 miles:
While I was doing all this painting of the rear end I figured the steel drive shaft could use some help, before on the right and after on the left:
Dyno Days!
At this point here is the what she did, an even 372/372 to the rear wheels in 100º heat. It was done by Synergy Motorsports in Freemont, CA
Here the Camaro is at Synergy Motorsports:
Alright after the head swap time to retune, this time i decided to go to a dynojet dynometer due to the fact its more of an industry standard, here I am at Advanced Dyno Technologies:
And of course what she actuall put down (391/380 RWHP/RWTQ) SAE corrected with a smoothing factor of 5:

Something that might be neccesary for you Auto-X'ers, a power steering cooler. The following is taken directly from the Jeg's website (Part #771-1010):
Thinline trans coolers feature 1/2'' aluminum tubes with turbulator fins and 11/32'' multi-barb ends. All thin line coolers are 3/4'' wide for installation in even the tightest areas. Reusable and flushable with ordinary cleaning solvents in the event of a converter or trans failure. High temperature / high pressure hose, and all necessary mounting hardware included.
Here are the shots of the install of the power cooler install:
