More Modifications (Bolt-ons)

My new exhaust set up so far consists of Edelbrock Shorty street legal headers CARB # and everything. Eventually there will be Random Technologies catted bolt on y-pipe:

Before reading on realize that I have since learned that a dynotune is a much better route to go almost to the point of never bothering with a mail order tune. This is my PCM tuned by Bryan Herter himself which I think is pretty cool (after all he tuned Mario Andretti's C6 Corvette) he is at PCMforless , he calibrated the speedometer:

A little bit of show and to help me monitor its my liquid filled fuel pressure gauge that connects to my stock fuel rail after removal of the schrader valve.
The first photo on top by itself is the gauge itself, below to the left is where the guage is going to be, to the right of this is partially through installation and mainly a photo of Earl's Plumbing. Below those two photos are the fuel pressure gauge before and after pressurazation. Finally on the bottom is a photo of the side of the fuel pressure gauge and fittings as well as what the motor looks like with the gauge on:

MSD 8.5MM superconducter spark plug wires:

The old wires on the motor:

And Finally here is them on:

One of my brake bleeders screws was stripped so I replaced all four with Earl's Solo Brake Bleeders from Thunder Racing. They make bleeding brakes a breeze and the fit and eaze of installation was great

The SLP TCS module makes it so when you start the car the ASR is off to start with as opposed to having to manually disengage upon every start

Smoothlocks here are a few shots before and after:

Removal of the EGR valve before the removal on top, what the EGR looks like it self, along with the brass freeze plug (1-3/8") to plug the intake manifold in the middle, on the bottom is the motor now without the EGR:

Removal of the Air pump system, to continue to clean up the engine bay:

Block off plates for if you delete the AIR and EGR:

A nice little boost in power can be obtained be switching out the LS1 intake manifold for the LS6 manifold (this ones off a Z06):

A little thing more for me then anything else, I switched out the stock tape (left) deck for the stock CD deck (right), while still retaining the stock 12 disc changer in the trunk:

Well going with the whole stock apperence theme, I wanted to be able to use my iPod with my stock deck. In come the GM9-AUX converter :

Here are more photos of the GM9-AUX:

I thought that this was a nice touch, it's offically licensed by GM and you can get them custom made from Afterthoughts Auto and it is really simple to install:

An exterior modifaction here is the 14" stubby antenna on the left it is compared to the stock antenna and on the right its on the car in the rain, I want to say that I love this little mod and it could not be easier direct replacement!

The stock antenna is on the left and the right is the new stubby, big difference huh?

A minor thing but finally got the rear window tinted with Limo Tint (5%), by TintWerks in Woodland, CA

At some point I tried to fix the yellowing of the headlights, kinda worked. But when I was there I found a factory marking!
