So to give you a little idea of the time frame I have given rough dates to the start (there could still be new/current mods to that page) of that modification next to the title listed above.  Enjoy and please leave a comment, nominate me for showoff of the week, and rate me I will be glad to do the same for you, thanks!

Modifications (Bolt-ons)

So before starting this journey of Rikki Tikki Tavi I wanted to give you a perspective and where she is currently.  Also the soon to be daily driver which has all been because of this awesome Z28.

My 4th Dyno  (This is acheived with the Heads, cam, & turbo @ 8.7 PSI with NO NOS), the turbo is finally done and not in prime condition it put down an amazing 502/510 RWHP/RWTQ!  This was done at SVS dyno shop.

dnm12's 1998 Chevrolet Camaro

My 3rd Dyno  (Same as below with a 100 shot of NOS) and Great Googly Moogly 474/498 RWHP/RWTQ, this dyno was done at Advanced Dyno

My 2nd Dyno  (Heads, cam, and smog legal exhaust) I went to Advanced Dyno  Technologies and had Rikki Tikki Tavi dyno'ed on a dynojet (more of an industry standard then a dynopack like I used before which tends to over-rate horsepower) and put down an outstanding 391/380, RWHP/RWTQ, with SAE correction and smoothing factor of 5:

My 1st Dyno (Cam Only)  an even 372/372 to the rear wheels in 100º heat. It was done by Synergy Motorsports  in Freemont, CA

Just because cardomain can take a little while to update my timeslip (don't believe people unless you can see one of these, I say this due to the fact about 95% of the people I talk to who claim their cars runs 13's, 12's or even 11's can never seem to produce either the timeslip or a dynochart. This is a condition of an affliction I have named "Car Syndrome"  , I am sure you know or will know someone who has it)

Snake Eyes!!!!! w/1.7 60'  This time is the cam, heads, long tubes, and M/T slick's.  I have yet to run with either the NOS or Turbo:

A letter I wrote got into Chevy High Performance can you tell which one?

A little dedication to what I love:

Greatest drawing ever found in Super Chevy, November 2007. It express my inner feelings:

Okay so my obsession has become a little overboard, it looks like another F-Body may be coming to my stable (just to be clear the monster Rikki Tikki Tavi for which this website is dedicated to is in the bright metallic green Z28 in the garage):

One of my more favorite videos of the car

Alright here is the very start of the great journey to become my ultimate sleeper!  The outside when I got her along with my favorite photo so far on top:

The legendary badge, along with the GM parts identifaction list that lets you know, yes this came with an LS1, yes it came with a 6-Speed (MM6), yes it came with 3.42 gears out back (GU6), yes it is the rare color 31U, and yes its a Z28:

Here are the most current photos of the motor and suspension!!  Alright this is not true anymore (I will update here soon posted 7/09)

Turbo Finally On!!
More on Page 13=STS Turbo Install

Modifications

SLP Cold Air Package:

Here is the stock lid and connector compared to the SLP lid and smooth bellow:

Here are photos of the SLP Cold Air Package on the vehicle:

Here is the K&N filter:

Here is the Cold Air Induction part:

Something thats not bad to do while your here is clean the Throttle Body on top are two photos of the Throttle Body dirty and below them are two pictures of the Throttle Body clean what a difference!

Soon to be a ported throttle body by New Era Performance Products

Just for those who dont believe here is a dyno of a 98 Formula (thanks Eric!) stock with the only modifaction between the two pulls is the ported and polished throttle body:

Here it is compared to the stock throttle body:

Finally here it is on the vehicle it self!

Here are the catch cans I installed to keep the throttle body and intake manifold clean so I don't have to do the above:

I recently took off the mini catch can that ran from the valve cover to the throttle body but I swapped out the standard rubber hosing for steel braided line:

The catch can itself (which can be ordered from Home Depot® for cheap!):

Finally for all the people who need proof here is the catch can with dirty oil in it and what the drained oil looks like:

SLP Short Shifter Package w/skip shift elimanator:

Alright here is the stock shifter and then the shifter itself removed:

Austin Qwik Stick:

Finally the new SLP shoft shifter in (it is incrediable how short the throw is compared to stock) with the new Hurst shifter knob on it:

Here is the current short shifter set up I have, it's the Pro 5.0 Power Tower with Lou's short stick . I absultly love this setup especially when compared to the SLP short shifter in my advice spend the extra money is you can it's worth it

Lou's short stick I love this bend:

Close up's of the Pro 5.0 Power Tower:

Here it is on the tranny bolted down:

As I began creeping up in the power I wanted a taller shifter so I went back to the stock Pro 5.0 shifter below is a picture of the Lou's Short Stick next to the stock Pro 5.0:

The white Hurst cue ball style shift knob:

The T-shifter on inside the car:

LOOK ITS HERE!! The brand new RSgear viper built transmission

The old transmission with no 2nd gear:

No transmission in the transmission tunnel:

During the install of the new transmission, I broke the slave cylinder here is a close up of it on the old tranny:

Here is my Stage 1 Clutchmasters 12" package:

The Clutchmasters on (photo taken when replacing the transmission):

Here is the new Viper Built transmission on (notice the Jet Hot long tubes!):

McLeod Adjustable Master Cylinder I cannot wait to get this in:

McLeod Adjustable Master Cylinder and their little known of clutch line that is a larger bore and has no restrictions in it so the imfamous "drill mod" does not have to be preformed:

During the first of I am sure many overhalls this is what I replaced:

Old aluminum Driveshaft:

The new Heavy Duty steal driveshaft built by a local company for me:

The SLP Loudmouth Exhaust:

The SLP 3.5" Tips:

Jet Hot Long Tube Headers and coated Y-pipe:

The Jet Hot Long Tube Headers on:

Finally the Jet Hot Y-pipe with flanges custom made for removal:

The o2 extensions neccesary for long tubes and sims for runnning no cats:
