If you still have those tubular rock rails I strongly suggest you remove the plastic caps on either end and heavily spray the insides with a rust inhibitor. I had the exact same rails on my liberty - rusted from the inside out with in 3 years. I started noticing some minor rust perferation in the third year so when spring came I took them off to sand blast and powder coat. However once I started blasting them I found the surface rust spots we coming from the inside out, and what appeared to be a small rust spot was actually 10 times the size underneath.
