"There is no greater feeling than to see something that
you've seen so clearly in your mind come to pass. The joy of knowing it's coming is nice and gets you through, but the joy of it manifest in current reality is overwhelming" -Melanie
This is my 1984 Mustang LX convertible that I finally got after 15 years of waiting.

The car originally belonged to my step-father before he passed away. This is the very same car that started my fascination with Mustangs!!

The interior is in excellent shape. Although the dash pad does need replaced.

This is some of the original documentation that was stashed away in the glovebox. Owner's manual, glass warranty, Ford's warranty, tire warranty. Sharp eyes will notice the tires' manufacturer is Michelin, meaning this car has the TRX suspension with the oddball metric wheel/tires. Both of which I do have and are safely tucked away and sealed if I should ever want to restore her.
3.8 liter V-6, backed by an automatic. Never really ran quite right. Maybe it would make a good flower planter??? My stepfather wanted a 5.0 anyway.
The only real body damage, besides paint that has been rubbed off by the cover.

I've been teaching myself to use photoshop lately, and this is one idea I have for my 84. The ride height is just a little exagerrated, but everything else would be simple to accomplish. Smoothed body moldings, polished 10 holes, Lower front cover similar to 82 GT, repainted medium red with belt-line moldings a darker shade of red.
Feb 2006: Bought a 1985 Mustang GT, 5.0 5speed, t-top with LOTS of rust, but runs great, for nearly nothing. The car already has a Holley 4 bbl carb, a few dress-up parts, a new clutch quadrant and firewall adjuster, recently installed 8.8 rear with 3.73 gears, and I drove it home for just $400. I've decided to transfer the entire drivetrain (engine, tranny, rear end) into the 84. This should make for a great cruiser.
