I bought my car my senior year of high school (2003) after waiting tables at Steak 'n Shake. I'm still amazed how fast I saved the money. I havn't done a very good job taking care of it since virtually all of my time goes to school. Also, my car cover got stolen and people kept hitting my car when I had to park in the street at school.
I started working on my bumper covers a few weeks ago.

The front cover was victim to a license plate, bra, and parallel parking hit from some jerk with a trailer hitch. I didn't see there was any damage until too late because the bra covered it up. The plate got bent up good, though.

This is where I started sanding when I was just planning on repairing the clearcoat. I discovered the paint was super thin.
I thought the back clearcoat was pealing because the paint was 11 years old. When I was stripping the paint I discovered it had a mako-style cheap repaint. You can see some pretty bad touch up paint in these pictures. I've gotten much better since I did this.
