I bought the ranchero for $300 bucks a few years ago. It had a bad tranny leak which turned out to be a simple fix. It's been a reliable workhorse when I need it, but spends most of its time as an unused eyesore in front of my house. While I kind of fixed the major dents (I'm a poor bodyman) I never did much else because I wanted it perfect, but since I lacked the funds for perfection I ended up making zero progress in the car. Recently I read an article in Car Craft, and the main point of the article was not to let the goal of a perfect car keep you from enjoying the damn thing for years, sometimes, "good enough" will have to do. So it now has a good enough spraycan paintjob, inspired by the paintjob given to cheap street chevelle. Maybe I read Car Craft too much. Anyway thats the story in a nutshell.
Only performance mods are a 4bbl Edelbrock intake and holley carb.
