Everything is stock. 2.2L 12valve. It has an Automatic transmission, which has the HOLD setting so you can make it stay in the gear you want. 180 Dbl Air Horn, and an even louder set of 12" MTX Roadthunder subs. With the back seat down, you'll be deaf in no time.

Alright, here it is. I've been driving like this for a few years now, and NO PROBLEMS! I'm talking huge rocks, water in the air intake, skidding across thirty foot mud puddles, drifting, air time, bottoming out, nonstop 180's, creeping up to vertical, and all. It always ends up looking at least this bad.

But never any problems? The underside is all smashed up, and most of the paint down there is gone, but steering never went out of align, and it drives smooth! No broken parts, no toasted engine (though the exhause manifold was glowing hot one time), nothing. I've replaced some engine parts on my own (start, dist, water pump, gaskets, plugs, etc.), and the right drive shaft when I got it, but that was all maintinence work. It's 197,000 miles old! The wheel bearings are startin to cry out and whine for subs, but their going to hang in there and finnish the race. This cars amazing!

Everyone should drive like this. If not, your missing out.
These pics are under Highway 2.

Most of the time I'm just off Highway 2, or in Reiter pit.

One rock I ran over, nice and slowly, tilted the passenger seat so my friend had to sit tilted the rest of the trip. Floor boards pound out real easy:)

On a long trip in Canada, I was doing around 40mph on this service road, about 50km away from the main highway, when I cliped a pointy rock with my left wheels. The front left rim dented so much that it would leak air unless I stopped the car at a certain point in the rotation of the tire. At that point I was able to pound it straight again with a hammer and stop the leak without loosing too much air. The back wheel was torn on the side wall, so my spare went there. I got REALLY lucky that time.

The frame work under the car is all dented up, and it has some rocks wedged in there that I cant really pry out, but otherwise it is still a car! MAZDA is by far the BEST! NO WAY any of my friends cars can do this; Saturn, Dodge, Honda. MAZDA ALL THE WAY BABY! (They should pay me to do this)

I have some good video clips that I couldn't put on this web site, so if you want to take a look, just send me an e-mail. forred@u.washington.edu

Shout out to all the Four Wheelers at Reiter pit in Washington! And all the other two wheelers out there, where ever you are.

If anyone wants me to REALLY wreck this car, hook me up with a Turbo. I'll have it flyin and dyin in no time.
