Thanks to all your votes we won the Texaco Car of the Decades 60's decade!  Now we're on to the Grand Prize judging conducted by Mario Andretti and several editors from different magazines and will be announced November 16th.  Thank you for all your help!  Couldn't have done it without you!

*8/16/09 Update - We kept my small block in and got into the Pinks All Out 32!!!  I was just hoping they'd walk by it and film it in the pits!  We ended up racing against our local track's top driver for Stock Eliminator in his Corvette that SKIES the tires.  He normally runs 10.4's so not sure how our car doing it's best to get the 10.5's it was getting ended up against him but we still just barely lost against his top drag car with our little show/street car.  WOO HOO!!**

**7/10/09 - Got my new 2010 Camaro!!  Ordered 10/15/08.  2SS/RS Silver Ice Metallic.  Took it home on a Friday night and had my husband custom paint my stripes over the weekend.  Love it!**

***9/12/08 - 3 weekends and 3 tracks and we got our number - 10.63 at 131 mph at Bremerton.  Now my car is retired from racing and has a slip to prove that it does indeed to as fast as it looks.  Woo Hoo!***

My husband Brian never gets tired of hearing it. “It’s really your wife’s car and she actually drives it?” He just smiles and tries to explain.

I’ve always wanted a pro-street Camaro. Brian always wanted a ’41 Willys coupe. He purchased and built his Willys but the dreams of my pro-street Camaro were put on the backburner rusting, literally. He had bought a decent ’70 RS Camaro to restore for me but it ended up getting the engine sold out of it, stripped of it’s paint, put in primer and put out back. It was starting to look more like a planter than a car.

In August 2003 he called me and said, “Before you head to work, check out the ’69 Camaro parked on the side of the road with the for sale sign in it”. I just laughed. There was no way we could afford another
