I have an 11 second El Camino, and now I added a 12 second daily driven Typhoon to the "Outta Control" project list! This truck went as fast 12.80 @106 with a 1.69 60ft time. I ran it untuned with the stock heads in 90deg outside temperatures. If you know anything about turbo cars, the cooler the faster!

NEW ENGINE: is a 4.3 block bored .030 over, Eagle rods, SRP Aluminum pistons, Comp "412" cam, Comp roller lifters, Comp 1.6 roller tip Rockers, ARP bolts, and port/polished 96+ Vortec heads and intake. I am running 50/lb injectors with a Billet adjustable fuel regulator with 255lph high volume elec. fuel pump. The computer is controlled by STG Ultimate programable chip.

Now for the Turbo! The Turbo is a PTE 60 internally wastegated turbo, with a 3" downpipe w/exhaust cut-out, and a high flow cat. Followed by the cat is a 3" ATR stainless steel exhaust. The Turbo is fed by an RPM air/air intercooler, and 3" k&N filter. I have also added an electric cooling fan and 160 thermostat to aid in keeping this puppy cooler! All the power is going to be pushed through a 10.5" 3000 stall torque convertor followed by 4 speed automatic and 40/60 split All-wheel drive!

Now for some other mods! The truck has been lowered 3" all the way, with Beltech blocks in the rear and adjusted the torsion bars in the front. I added KYB shocks all the way around, and a Beltech rear anti-sway bar. Energy Suspension front sway bar bushings and completely new front end was added. I intend on keeping the truck mostly stock appearing but I did add clear corners, markers, and hollogen headlights. The rear tail lights are stock but have slotted covers over them. I changed the Typhoon decals to red w/silver backround, and the windsheild eybrow is my slowly becoming known "Outta Control High Performance & Customs" banner! JUST ADDED 18" 2006 Z06 Corvette wheels... so much for stock appearing!

This truck is a ton of fun to drive and most people don't have a clue what they are pulling up next to at a traffic light! Its a 400 + hp AWD SUV that runs in the 12's! The 4.3L v-6 is pushing 18psi of boost on pump gas!! Hello buddy in your WRX's, EVO's, SRT4's or GT Mustangs!! This thing should run 11's when complete with about 22psi of boost and race gas!

Nice Ty! I just bought one and I was wondering how did you lower the frontend? I would assume you just used blocks in the rear, but what about the front. I want lower mine to get it a more sporty look.. Thanks, and again NICE!
