7-4-05 My newest ride. Just bought it off e-bay and haven't even got it home. It will take a little work to get it perfect again, but it will be worth it!!
7-30-05 I got it home!! A miserable 29hr ordeal, but definitely worth it. A few parts I picked up on the trip.
Here are a couple shots of my first 76 NYB. I sold it a few years ago. Unfortunately it ended up in a demolition derby last year. I was told it did very well, though.

Please rebuild that baby!! The Wife and I just purchased an almost identical car in Yakima,WA. Ours has white leather interior. We drove ours from WA to SC in 5 days. What a joy!! What a great pair of twins to have together someday. Yours is the only other 2 door Astral Blue/White top and interior I have seen. Have you been to the Chrysler New Yorker site. Once you join they are a great source for info and parts. Please post updates. And good luck in rebuilding a fantastic car.

Maybe to make your job a bit easier, similar year Newports use the same front fenders as the new yorker, except they could be had without cornering lamps. I don't know how many were built that way, but we had one that I used for parts when I redid mine. Have fun grinding down all the little studs that are used to mount the side trim, it took forever and a day for me to get mine off, lol.

Looks like you've got a good place to start. The 2-doors will definitely be worth something someday. If you have any questions when you're putting it all back together, drop me a line. I had to replace the front clip of mine down to the front frame a few years ago. The hood opened up at highway speed and took out the windshield. It dented up the roof and all the trim too, ruined the hood. When I got ready to repaint, I found some rust and previous body damage in the front clip, so I just replaced all of it. It was a chore, but the finished product was definitely worth it. Check out my page if you get a chance, I think you'll like my New Yorker too.
