This is a little sports car that was popular in the 70's & 80's when I was in high school and college. I have always wanted one and finally purchased this car back in March of this year. I have intentions of fully restoring to close to original condition and making it a daily driver. At the time of this posting I have completed the drivetrain, complete brake overhaul (front & rear), half-shafts, steering rack, suspension, polymer bushing kit, distributor & ignition, starter, battery, interior, tires and wheels. The fuel system had to be completely cleaned and was the first task. After that, a basic tuneup and fluid change, and we put her on the road. Still working out a few bugs but after getting the suspension and tires upgraded, I discovered what made this Z cars so popular. Man they are a blast to drive!!! I have a daily commute of about 50 miles and I look forward to it everyday. It is definitely a head turner and fun weekend cruiser. I don't have any horse power upgrades planned at this time, but maybe after the body is restored. She is a work in progress and I hope to be back soon to update some finished pics. Since these photos were taken, I have removed the bumpers, upgraded the air filter to a K&N type system and polished the valve cover.

Update as of 6-30-07 Finally got her painted back to the original color, code #611 Wine Red Metallic.

Hey, thanks for commenting--looks like you're making some great progress on the car--I dont know if you are involved with any Z clubs, but there is going to be Z meet in Fontana, SC on May 19-21--I would highly suggest attending.

I like that red color. Very subtle and laid back. Love the original, un-aerostyled look, too. I'm keeping my 260 mostly original also. Keep up the good work!

What cars do u like from the 60s. I like later model Caddy Devilles, 66 Mustangs, and all Stingrays/Vettes (except C4s).
