You know how it is you see these cars driving around you hear them see them and feel them and you just stand there and go "I gotta get me one of them " well that was the case with mine I looked for months to find the right one it had to have the right wheels the right amount of klms the right interior - black or black ( big choice here - thanks Nissan) and not overly modded, well I found one and also found a buyer for the Lancer - sweeet. it was all coming together

chowetime's 1995 Nissan Skyline

After driving sedately for several weeks getting used to the power the car had as it had 204hp which is so much more than the Lancer and this was rear wheel not front the list really did go on to the differences... well one very rainy day coming home from work taking what is normally a 75klm bend that I took at maybe max of 65klm ( possibly less ) the back end slipped out so I did what I thought you are supposed to do steer into the direction the backen is going so I did this and fish tail back around and did a complete 180 degree turn slamming very hard up against an island which had a kerb that would of been 250mm in height and then into the sign post which smacked the passenger door and damaged the roof and door sill - that was what was visable...days later we learnt that there was considerable wheel steering crossmember damage plus a list of other stuff and chassis damage the insurance compny in the end decided to write the car off and paid me out.

This was my first accident in 22years of driving I would consider myself to be a competent driver I can tally up nearly 700klm a week with just work and have come across many situaions but I was just not a good enough driver to handle this.

So I have put the new replacement Skyline on hold for a couple of months and bought a Lancer to keep the fuel cost down and this will enable me the chance to look for another perfect car.

The Skyline had a few mods in the way of Bilstein shocks and King springs a HKS super dragger from the ca back all up the car put out a 204.7 h.p atw

Here are a few links to some of the cars that I have not crashed the first being the more recent Lancer that is stock as a rock but will no doubt change Link text
and the other being my very recently sold but very much modded Lancer which had everything Link text
