This is my 1997 Plymouth Neon ACR. This started its life as a black neon fresh off the lot up in the Long Beach area (or something near that) where the first owner purchased it. I purchased the car in 2003 from the original owner who had given the car plenty of show. He had the car painted Plymouth Prowler Purple. The car has a full Wings West body kit, (front bumper, rear fascia, and side skirts. Wings West Commando Spoiler. This neon is 12 years old and is a great starting place for anyone who wants to be a tuner, but it does need some work. I can help out with some contacts to get some further upgrades and such, but I purchased this car to help out my mom so she would have something to drive other than my show car. This is an ACR edition, which means American Club Racer. This version of the neon is different from the R/T, more race than comfort. The R/T edition comes with larger front and rear sway bars, better geared 5th gear for speed, computer with higher governor 130 mph instead of stock neon 118 mph. The ACR edition has all this, but improves upon this further, most power options are removed, no sunroof, so it is lighter, no rear defroster, KONI struts, 2mm larger wheel bearings and hubs. I think that the ACR had some other stuff, but can't think of it right offhand. This car has DEPO clear headlights, Crystal clear front side turn signals. Car has diamond plate aluminum floor mats, white indiglo gauge overlay with an aluminum overlay on that. Car will come with some purple lights and quite an assortment of spare parts. The real pretty feature of this neon is that the previous owner used this car to start up a powdercoating business. The entire undercarriage of parts were all powdercoated on this neon. The control arms, sway bars, k-frame, and many other parts were powdercoated purple, silver, or gunmetal. My mom replaced the tires and clutch late last year, we've only put about 30k miles on the car since 03, not a huge driver, no trips etc. We just had some issues with the neon that have all been corrected. The neon's water pump went bad and was replaced, New timing belt put on, and some wiring issues to the lower o2 sensor (common problem on old neon's) have been corrected. I replaced the fuel pump with a walbro high flow model last year. Any further info required I'd be more than happy to produce it for you. Mileage right now is 110333 as of 9/1/09. I just got the car smogged tonight, this is not my daily driver, I've got 2 other neons. Uhmm other stuff, engine modifications are solid motor mount inserts, iceman cold air intake, modern performance underdrive pulley, and a blackdog fuel rail. Please email me if you would like to come and see it or have any further questions.
