This is my 1987 pontiac firebird formula, when i first got this car i was 17 and on the second day i had it i almost killed myself doing a 720 around a corner (accidentally). I bought the car for $5500(can). Anyways ya my car has 170,000kms and runs and drives like new. I put on iroc rims with new yokohama v-rated 245/50/r16 tires. That helped prevent the whole no traction problem somewhat at least. But ya every other V8 i've raced so far has been pretty close to stock, I have beaten like other camaros around the same years and mustangs. I have the 305 tuned port injection engine which still has almost 100% compression and still very impressive power for a basically stock motor.I have the 7 3/4 (heavy duty borg warner) inch rear end with 3:42 gears which came with the car along with performance suspension in the WS6 package from factory, the original suspension has been replaced with eibach springs all around and lowered just a tiny bit more than stock making speed bumps a little tricky to get over sometimes. The transmission is a 5 speed manual or if you know anything about these cars the weak T-5 they put in them. I just recently replaced the clutch with a dual friction centerforce considering the old clutch was the original and I was starting to feel some power loss.
