24/02/06 Picking up Seether's head today from the head grinding people. Once the head goes back on compression should be fixed, fingers crossed that the lumpy cam isn't the problem.

29/11/05 Seather is currently having one lung removed. There seems to be some problem with the tunning as a result of low compression. Its suspected that the exhaust valvues aren't seating properly. The first step before pulling my engines to pieces to hunt for better cylander heads will be to change the car from a twin carby setup to a single carby setup. Luckily i had a single carb manyfold to spare. Apparently this is the thing to do with this engine anyway. Later models also ran with only one carb. Other then this Seather has been out for a few runs, shes a little down on power but has plenty of torque able to light up the wheels even when moving at slow speeds and not just by dropping the clutch.

03/11/05 Managed to find a few hours last friday to work on the engine tunning. Shes running better then ever, although still rich. Almost finished ripping out the fan, air con, heater, and vacuum bottle. That should shed a little weight, and make it easier to install a new dash speaker...and maybe i can find the radio wires then? Once thats all done its off to the autoshop for a couple of carby bits and some fine tunning.
