As mentioned previously, the sound system is the current focus of this vehicle. Most people drop some rims on a vehicle and call it the next best thing on the road; I feel a quality whip is built from ground level up starting with a solid foundation. This foundation is sound.
The project first started simple. Drop three Kicker Solo Baric 12" in a custom box with a Kicker 800 Watt amp for the subs and a Kicker 250 watt amp for the doors.
The first step was to build a box that would house all three subs and fit the amp and cap.
Next was to rip the vehicle a part to run the Monster Cable XLNPro RCA, power toggle and Sirius Sat wires. Also, the doors were taken a part for some light sound dampening and the installation of the new Kenwood eXcelon speakers.

New wires are ran from the Kenwood headunit to provide better sound then the factory wires could produce to the doors.

The door speakers get finished first and the head unit goes into place. This test's the unit to ensure that the headunit is in working condition and the door speakers are in good shape.

The next step was to run all the wires needed for the sub and start putting the car semi back together. As that was being done, it's always a good thing to check on where you stand. A moment was taking out the the project to measure the box, make sure the amp will fit with enough clearance (from security net), and to figure out how to left this heavy SOB to put it in the SUV.

After some back breaking work to get the subs in the truck, and some time to hook everything up - the sound project is done.
