I put in Polarg clearance (non-rewired) and Silverstar 9004 bulbs but before I swapped them out, I took a comparison pic for the fun of it and the difference is obvious. However, Silverstars are nowhere close to HID and even though they appear white in the pic, it's not! Just brighter and whiter than regular halogens. This pic clearly shows how deceiving the so-called "Xenon-charged" bulbs are - think twice before buying a bulb solely on a picture you see on a website. (4/11/02)
Here is an angled shot of my Maxima showing the red/clear tails (made by DavidL). I couldn't resist parking the Japan-spec Nissan Stagea next to my Maxima. Amazing how Nissan's styling could change so much in 7 years! (5/12/02) ... I also shaved the Nissan hamburger, kept the M A X I M A because I felt it compliments 95-96 rears. (6/1/02)
I just got my euro regular (non-diamond) bumper clears today! Put them in, thanks Jeff (redmaxpa007). (5/20/02)
Replaced the stock SE gauge cluster and auto shifter illumination with 194/168 blue push-in LEDs from Autodynamic. Also replaced the green 3mm window switch LEDs with 5mm blue LEDs from Radioshack (P/N 276-311: 5V, 30mA, 300mcd, 430nm). The pics don't do justice (they're optimized to load quickly) - they look much better in person. (6/23/02)
Installed chrome gauge rings, got them for $38/shipped. I had them sitting at home forever because of winter, finally got around to installing them and they're a nice touch. Purchased from Brett (phsinvent). (4/14/03)
Got the ZMAX 9004 8600K Sky Blue H.I.D. kit. They start up sky blue but puts out a bright white with almost no hint of color once warmed up. Purchased from Freddie (97GLES). (8/25/03)
My meter gauge cluster on my desk right now, preview of what's to come. (7/2/04)
A small photo from my camera phone, showing it in the car.
