Removal of the interior and some sound deadening. So far I sound deadened the roof, back seat, all doors and rear deck.
Here is my custom made MDF baffle that allows me to mount my 10" Velodyne subwoofer using the factory 8" opening.
MDF baffles made to hold 6.5" A/D/S 346is component speakers. Deflex pads have been installed behind the speaker mounting locations. You can also see the two 16" gauge speaker wires running into the door through the factory grommet. Here are the pictures after application of sound deadening and mounting of A/D/S speakers. Tweeters are mounted in the factory sail panel location.
And here is my radio mounted using a custom trim plate. I had the plate laser cut to match the factory plastic trim. It matches very well (99%). The radio is a Pioneer Premier DEX-P1R and it sits recessed about 1/2" so the faceplate is virtually flush with the trim ring. The trim also matches the contour of the faceplate perfectly, giving it about 2mm of clearance all around.
