ENGINE AND TURBO:

The turbo kit is made by GReddy and uses a Mitsubishi TDO4H-15G turbocharger. The manifold has been cut to prevent cracking, and Thermo-tec heat wrap tape was applied to Items near the downpipe. The downpipe was replaced with a Racingmazda.com 2.5" downpipe. I am now using a fully programmable Link engine management system, with RC engineering 550cc injectors. I also have Data Log Lab, which is a program that aloow interface between my car and my laptop. I can download data while driving, and make changes to fuel and timing in 256 separate zones (96 each, plus 60 other separate settings). Dtata log power graphs are showing somewhere around 220 wheel horsepower.
The intercooler is from an Isuzu NPR turbo diesel truck, the core measures 20" X 8". The pipes are 2" mandrel bends from JC whitney that I welded together and grinded smooth. The pipes after the intercooler are 2.5", also mandrel bends. There is a total of 4 pipes, including the TB elbow. Notice the tab to secure the pipe on the power steering hose mount. The hose was rotated 180* to make room for the pipes.More intercooler pics on page 6. The pipes do not hang very low, I dont think I can ever scrape. They are above the lip spoiler and about 1 foot farther back, so it would take a HUGE hit to make them scrape.

Link ecu with all the extras, including new air intake.

My brand spankin new Flyin' Miata 2.5" Turbo Single cat-back exhaust. It was almost too nice to put under the car.

This is my stock fuel rail which I modified for dual feeds. I relocated the regulator to the middle, and brazed the regulator as well as the barbs in the end.

Custom heat shield.

These pictures show the engine upgrade progress in chronological order, from stock to 15 psi of boost.
