CLUB AFFILIATION

I actually belong to 2 car clubs...the Atlanta Camaro & Firebird Association (ACFA) and the Georgia F-Body Association (GAFBA)

ACFA

I mostly participate in ACFA. They are a more tight knit club. We all meet at Belamy Strickland's dealership in Mcdonough @ 1PM the 2nd Saturday of the month.

After the meetings, everyone typically goes out to eat, then to a pre planned event, like a cruise-in! We also go to alot of shows together. Though the club is not only into showing, we have a annual Dyno Day, as well as a trip to Little Taladega for some track time! In fact, the club even has its own Annual charity show! We even participate in the annual McDonough X-mas parade!

GAFBA

When I first joined Gafba we had a good group of people that would meet up pretty regularly. There was not a set place or location. We had a mailing list and a meeting would be set on some weekend evening. People would show up! The club has dwindled a bit of late and it seemed there is more online talking going on them actual meetings. For a while Joe was president and we tried to get the club more active, but it fell on deaf ears!
The club is less into showing and more performance events. In fact, they put on a BiAnnual Drag racing event called a shootout down at Silver Dollar Raceway in Reynolds, GA. There is always a good turn out and its a really fun event. This is where I first got to take RAIF out on a drag strip!
