maximizd27's 1994 Nissan Maxima

maximizd27's 1994 Nissan MaximaHistory: I bought this car in May of 1996 from Eisenhauer Nissan in Wernersville, PA. It was bone-stock at the time but still "in the wrapper." Spring 2002 Overhaul: Much was changed and added in the Spring and Summer of 2002. Here's the bulk of it: 17" Ro_Ja Motegi Neo 4.0's with Potenza RE730 rubber, JL Audio speakers and an Alpine amp, WarpSpeed y-pipe and a CarSound catalytic converter, yellow silicone vacuum hoses, re-covered all of the wiring in yellow wire loom, yellow-topped Optima battery and a billet aluminum tie-down from Southwest Autoworks, new Razo titanium pedals, dead pedal and aluminum heel plate, valve cover powder coated, Courtesy Nissan Y2K Maxima FSTB, B&M tranny cooler, custom mesh grill and Autometer Phantom tranny temp, coolant temp and volt meter installed under the stereo. The pix with the mesh grill were taken at Nopi. I went to more shows and meets in 2002 with my compadre' Jeff and his '99 red SE Limited than ever. Busy year! There is a new sheriff in town however. Late January of '03 brought me a brand new 2K3 Maxima SE Titanium Edition! Sterling Mist. Black heated leather and the works. I didn't want another automatic, so I got the 6 speed manual with the HLSD front end. I have kept my good old green '94 shown here, however. See page 4 for a pix of the 2K3 SE TE. Now I guess I get to start all over again.
maximizd27's 1994 Nissan MaximaParticulars: Performance and under-hood mods- WarpSpeed 304 S.S. mandrel bent y-pipe, CarSound 2.5" catalytic converter, Greddy SP cat-back system, Stillen intake with K&N filter, ASP Racing under-drive pulley, Jim Wolf Technology ECU, B&M tranny cooler, Optima yellow-top battery, Southwest Autoworks billet aluminum battery tie-down, Summit Racing flexible stainless steel radiator hoses, Hose Techniques silicone vacuum lines, painted valve cover and a few little Bosch goodies. Suspension- Eibach Pro-Kit springs (1.2" drop), Tokico gas shocks and Suspension Techniques solid anti-sway bars with urethane bushings. Y2K Courtesy FSTB. Rolling Stock- 17" x 7" Ro_Ja Motegi Neo 4.0 wheels with 225/45ZR17 Bridgestone Potenza RE730 tires. Brakes- Cross-drilled Stillen rotors, Stillen Metal-Matrix metallic-composite pads, Goodridge braided stainless steel lines, Motul DOT 4 silicone fluid and stock calipers and rotor hats painted with Folia-Tec yellow brake caliper laquer. Exterior- Stillen urethane body kit, Stillen GT wing, clear euro side markers, custom made mesh grill insert and decals from Modern Image Signworks and Signfeld Signs. Stereo and Interior- Not much really. 35W x 4 Alpine cassette (yes, I said cassette! I'm old, ok?) head unit with remote and 6 disc Alpine CD changer, 75W Alpine amp, 35W JL Audio 4" 2-ways up front, 85W JL Audio 6" x 9" 2-ways in back, AutoMeter Phantom 2 1/6" electrical coolant temp, tranny temp and volt meter, Razo titanium/stainless steel mesh pedal pads and dead pedal, Razo aluminum heel plate, and yellow shoulder belt pads.

maximizd27's 1994 Nissan MaximaProps: Brian Balthaser and Eisenhauer Nissan in Wernersville, PA for the suspension work. Dennis Mumma and the body shop at Ebersole's Pontiac in Lebanon, PA for the body kit installation and paint work. The guys at Creative Car-Tunes for the side marker install and for fixing them right at the show when they came loose at Carlisle. My long time friend Nathan who helped me with the exhaust work a couple of times and the first round of brake up-grades and who made sure I was doing things right when I first started messing with this thing. My family for running all over the place with me, especially this year, to get all of this done. And certainly not least of all Kevin Longchamp of Longchamps Detailing in Hershey, PA for getting the brand new wheels and tires so quickly and who keeps bringing this paint back every time I think it's had it. He did a lot of work on this thing this year!

More Nopi shots on the next page...
