About this model story..

"The 140/160Z are basically re-badged Datsun Sunny Excellent
GL/GX/GX-T models - Model designation (P)B210.
The 210 series was available in 4 body styles; 4-door sedan, 2-door
sedan, coupe, wagon. The 'Z' badged models are based on the coupe
model. The Excellent GL was commonly L14 powered, the GX L16 powered
& the GX-T (flagship model) was even adorned with the twin-hitachi
sidedraught treatment. Producing the best part of 100HP, with a
5-speed & air-con would've made it a pretty fancy little car."

Datsun 160Z - Limited series
The car was sold from November 1978, only in South Africa
120 sold in 1978
121 sold in 1979 and discontinued in 1980

Gorgouse lil' coupe, man. I have always loved an old fastback. All the advantages of todays small engines (somewhat) with all the styling of a classic car. To bad all the american ones where so unreliable for a long time, unless the company said fuck it and put a small V-8 in it to make a performance package like the Maverick.
