Everything......I mean everything was built by me, with no automotive background or schooling whatsoever!!! I don't even work in the automotive community, I work in a hospital!!
In my early years, I suscribed to and read HOT ROD, CAR CRAFT, CHEVROLET HIGH PERFORMANCE, SUPER CHEVY and all the automotive books in the local Community College library that I could get my hands on. I hung out at the drive-ins, car shows, race track, talked to other Hot Rodders....and look what I ended up with!!!! In fact, in 2001, Bob McClurg of Super Chevy magazine saw the car and displayed it in Camaro Performers magazine.

2001 Camaro Performers Magazine with my old 383ci, Weiand tunnel ram, dual 600cfm Holleys and my old Weld Racing wheels. That motor could scream on the top end, but I eventually sold it to a Circle Track dirt racer. I still wasn't done and took the car apart again...
My automotive hobby started with a simple set of Taiwan made, swapmeet, $10 SAE sockets and my dad's 67' Plymouth bumper jack and his cresent wrenches. Now I own an overflowing Craftsman rollaway, welders and several floor jacks. I did all the engine assembly, engine blueprinting, cylinder head CC and porting, transmission dissassembly and assemble, welding the frame rails and chassis, built the rear ladder bar suspension, shortened and rebuilt the diff, welded the roll cage, redid all the wiring, redid the ignition, starter, fusebox, pulled the glass, did the fuel plumbing, rebuilt the custom front end, rebuilt the custom brakes....whew, almost forgot...Mom sewed the interior.
Nowadays, everyone wants me to fix their car!!! So far I repaired Honda's, BMW's, Mercedes', Lexus's, Nissan's, Toyota's, Ford's, Chevy's, even a Pantera...you name it, my hands got dirty in it. I bought Code readers, sensor testers, computers....etc, etc, etc, now the rollaway is overflowing. I think it's time to buy a new house with a very large garage and more rollaways. The only thing I have not yet learned is how to bodywork and paint. I have to give the bodywork credit to my good friend Monza Mike and credit to the paint job by my friend Brit at Brit's Custom Paint.
I wish my dad was still around to see what I accomplished and I wish he could have rode in it. I never got a chance to play, hang out or thank my dad. He was always working to put food on the table and to put me and my sister through school. In fact my parts car and cruiser was his old 1967 Plymouth Valiant that he bought brand new in '67 for $4000 dollars. It was a 6-banger that I restored and tuned for him, it purred beautifully through that little 1-barrel. Sadly and regretfully, when my dad passed away, I donated the car to charity. I always will miss my dad and the car he owned, that I grew up in.....
If you guys like what I accomplished from reading, please sign my guestbook, tell me what you think and if you like... you can drop me a vote. If you need help with your car....no probem. Thanks Everyone!!!!
